- Hi,everybody I'm Joel Baker. When I was young,newlywed and extremely broke I decided to write I book. I remember writing it in this tiny apartment while watching my two-year old daughter. Well, a few years later that book was called Her Eyes, it was published and sold like 3 copies. I quit writing to do better by my wife and went work as a police officer but, when I was put on disability I started writing again and have become mildly successful. I'm 31 right now, live outside L.A I spend most of my time writing books or working on a column for LA Magazine. I have 10 beautiful children ( 4 adopted, a set of quadruplets and 2 biological . . . but, I can hardly tell the difference these days.) When I'm not writing I'm probably reading, watching the occasional episode of One Tree Hill or working at a bar I bought a couple years back. While my life is pretty awesome right now I have dealt with violence, substance abuse, alcoholism and other family issues but, right know I am doing pretty good.

hmmm, you know if you were a real writer and not a PR person I bet you could spell Tennessee alright,alright !
